[It's a beautiful day at 456 Stone Street. Birds are chirping, puppies are yapping, and one brunette nation is sticking closely to the window, phone piece firmly held in one hand.]

I've been relocated. Again. While this looks like a more cheerful occupation and this is the happier I've seen the Eastern Bloc be in a while, I'd really appreciate the prior notice.

Although it's been a while since I've worn a dress.

[[OOC: She's taken from right after the Hungarian Revolution, so she may be just a little bit unsettled.]

[Hughes woke up a little late and groggily made his way through the house for a glass of water. He sort of took a few days off work to try and collect his bearings after Maipold.

But he didn't expect to walk right past another lady in the house. He quickly spoke the first thing that came to mind--]

You're not the pancake lady!

It's alright!

[She's already hung up on the call, taking a few minutes to absorb all the information she received.]

Now, is that any way to speak to your wife?

I've always wanted to say that!

[Hughes stared for a moment, and then smiled warmly.]

Ah, you're right. I forgot my manners!

[And he put out his left hand--unfortunately, he was still missing the right one after his punishment in Maipold, though it hardly bothered him anymore, at this point.]

I'm Maes Hughes! It's nice to meet you.

[She reached out to clutch the afforded hand in a firm grip.]

Hungary. They've been telling me I was here before.

Ah, I was told that when I first arrived, myself! It appears that when you've been here before and go home, you can sometimes lose all your memories of this place.

Let's suppose this is a good thing, in this case.

[grabs a framed wedding picture off the counter.]

Although this looks to be rather interesting.

[Hughes sat down and melted into a sad little heap on the table.]

Aaaaah, I'm sorry to say, I have a beautiful wife and daughter! Having different wives like this is starting to put a strain on me.

You poor dear! You must be missing them terribly. It's really cruel not being able to see your loved ones.

Yeaaah, I miss them so much it hurts! Look~!

[And he pulls out a picture, showing her. Yes, it's the icon, and my baby and darling wife are so beautiful, no?!]

This is Elicia and Gracia! Aren't they just angels?! Aaaah, I miss them so much~

Aaaah, aren't I?! I wish I was with them right now~! I'd give my other hand to see their smiling faces...

[Hughes smiles sympathetically.]

Unfortunately, Mayfield is a very dangerous place; things like this certainly aren't shocking anymore... A few weeks prior, we were in a communist-run town, and I lost my hand as a punishment.

[presses her hand to her forehead]

A communist-run... I should have expected that. What a cruel joke.

I'm just glad you weren't there to experience it, ma'am. It wasn't fun, let me tell you.

[He laughed weakly--it's true, the experience left him completely fatigued. It felt like when he'd returned from Ishbal; he lost a little weight, slept a little less...

Communism sucks.]

[She just had to deal with the aftermath of a disastrous revolution, so she sympathizes, a bit.]

I think breakfast would do both of us a world of good, right? Maybe a cup of coffee to settle you in. We may not be a real family, but there's no reason for us not to be friends.

Ahhh, of course~! I would love to have some breakfast you with, Miss Hungary. My drone wife has been trying to feed me pancakes every morning for months now.
