[She's holed herself inside plenty of times in the past months spent in this town. Now, when the time is ideal to stay put and quiet, it is when Hungary finds herself most restless, especially inside.

Someone out there surely must want her dead, prompted by need or desperation. But she has the gun of her fake husband on her, and grim determination to survive on her mind. Eventually, she finds herself outside the bakery, but she's not paying attention to the display.]

With a frilly pinafore worn over it. He's elbow deep in the sink with its soap and dishes.]

And once you're done you need to vacuum the living room. Vacuum cleaners are amazing, aren't they? America really has the best appliances, but I could find you a broom if you want to do it the old fashioned way. But make it quick. I need to have you start on dinner.

B [And if you're outside, anywhere by the park or down the road, you'll find Hungary straddling Prussia's motorcycle, and trying to look knowledgeable.]

[The rich scent of roses was too overpowering for the entire thing to be a dream. Waking up with a full bouquet in your arms tended to drive that fact home. In fact, waking up with an armful of roses was not a bad start to the morning-- or evening, for that matter.

Except that it was hard to tell what time of the day it was, what's with the lack of natural light. Pricking your fingers and bare neck on the thorns took away from the pleasantness, as well.]
